Musculoskeletal Services

In 2007 the need for musculoskeletal (MSK) service redesign was signalled by the Scottish Government Health Directorates (SGHD) publication 'Co-ordinated, integrated and fit for purpose - A Delivery Framework for Adult Rehabilitation in Scotland' (February 2007). The aim is to create a modern, effective, multi-disciplinary, multi-agency approach to rehabilitation services that are flexible and responsive, using the best that technology can offer.
One of the key elements of this is the development of a National Musculoskeletal Programme which aims to bring about significant service redesign to improve the delivery and outcome of musculoskeletal services across Scotland.
